Who it suits

The layout does something specific: three bedrooms, three ensuite bathrooms, no shared bath. That makes it work well for two or three couples travelling together, or a family where nobody wants to negotiate a bathroom schedule. Six is the maximum, and the beds are a king, a king, and a queen — so it suits adults better than it suits a large group of children.

With gigabit fiber and three separate rooms to work from, it also holds up as a place to work remotely for a week rather than just a weekend.

Stairs and access

This home is not step-free. Reaching the living area and every bedroom requires climbing a full flight of stairs.

The garage is on the ground level below the home. You can enter the garage without steps, but a full flight of stairs leads from there to the living area. The front door is also reached by steps. There is no step-free route into the living space.

The ground level is only the garage; all three bedrooms are upstairs. If climbing stairs would be difficult for anyone in your party, this home may not be the right fit. Contact us with any questions about the layout before booking.

Bathrooms

3 full (each ensuite). Each bedroom has its own, so the count of bathrooms matches the count of bedrooms — which is the part most three-bedroom rentals get wrong.

Parking and the garage

An enclosed private garage and covered carport accommodating up to 3 vehicles, plus room for a golf cart.

NACS and CCS EV charging in the private garage, adapter provided. Parking is the single biggest practical advantage here: public parking on Folly is limited and enforced, and having covered on-site space for three vehicles means you can leave the car alone for the week and walk.

Wi-Fi and remote work

Gigabit (1 Gbps) fiber internet. Fast enough for multiple simultaneous video calls or streaming 4K. Between the three bedrooms and the two decks there are enough separate spaces that two people can take calls at the same time.

Getting to the beach

About half a mile to both Folly Beach and downtown Center Street — a ten-minute walk either way.

Decks, dock, and pool

The community fishing dock on the Folly River is steps away and accessible year-round.

The Turtle Bay community pool is steps from the unit and is open approximately April through October. If you are visiting outside that window, see Folly Beach by season for what is and isn't open.

There is no key handover and no office to visit, so a late arrival is not a problem.

What this place isn't

It is worth being straight about the constraints. Pets are not permitted due to HOA rules. No smoking indoors. Maximum occupancy is 6 and that is a firm number, not a guideline. The pool is a shared community pool rather than a private one, and it is seasonal. The dock is a community fishing dock, not a private boat slip.
